
UMA Application Process
To apply to The University of Maine at Augusta, fill out the appropriate UMA Application for Admission and arrange to have official high school transcripts or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) test scores, as well as official transcripts of any completed college work, sent to the Admissions Office at one of the campus locations listed below. First time students and International students may choose to apply online, where the application, while longer, provides you with the opportunity to submit electronically and pay the registration fee by credit or debit card. You can also choose to download UMA's short-form application or International student application, print out and send it through the mail with the registration fee. Readmission candidates may download the readmission application here as well, no registration fee required. To download applications, you must have or get Adobe's free Acrobat Reader installed on your computer.

Dates to Observe
The University of Maine at Augusta has a rolling admissions policy which means we accept applications at any time during the year. However, to ensure the most efficient application process, we recommend that applicants observe the following dates whenever possible.
Apply for Financial Aid
- March 1 for fall applicants
- October 1 for spring applicants
Visit Campus
- for fall semester applicants, visit by June 15
- for spring semester applicants, visit by November 15
Submit an Application
- June 15 for fall semester (March 1 if applying for financial aid)
- November 15 for spring semester (October 1 if applying for financial aid)
- May 1 for Fall and October 1 for Spring (International Students)
Arrange for placement testing
- June 15 for fall
- November 15 for spring
Register for Classes
- for the Fall semester begins April 7 for degree students, April 9 for others
- for the Spring semester begins November 12
