The following requirements are effective for students admitted on or after Fall 2017:

  • Minimum 121 Credit Hours
  • Writing Intensive Course
  • Minimum Cumulative G.P.A.: 2.00
  • 30 Credit Hours of Residency Courses
  • 9 Credits of Upper-Level Major Residency Courses
  • Minimum G.P.A. in the Major: 2.50
  • JUS 103 Foundations of Criminal Justice (3)
  • JUS 121 Criminal Law (3)
  • JUS 271W Due Process in Criminal Justice (3)
  • JUS 363 Comparative International Justice Issues (3)
  • JUS 488W Senior Seminar (3)

Complete one of the following pathways:

No Concentration

  • Complete any 100-level or higher Justice Studies course (3)
  • Complete any four upper-level (300-400) Justice Studies electives (12)

Criminal Justice Concentration

  • JUS 160 Introduction to Forensic Science (3)
  • JUS 200 Principles of Investigations (3)
  • JUS 352 Community Policing (3)
  • Complete any upper-level (300-400) Justice Studies elective (3)
  • Complete two of the following Justice Studies electives (6):
