ANT 289 Topics in Anthropology: Introduction to Oral History                                   

This course is an overview that will train the student in the use of oral history techniques. The student will choose a topic and plan a project exploring the topic and implement the plan. The course covers interview techniques, recording technology, legal and ethical issues, as well as the processing of materials for archives. The student will be required to complete a research project using oral history  techniques. Prerequisite: ENG 101 and HTY 104 with grades of 'C' (not 'C-') or higher. 3 credits
