ASSOCIATE DEGREE IN DENTAL HYGIENE

  AN ASSOCIATE DEGREE IN DENTAL HYGIENE from a program accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) of the American Dental Association (ADA).


All courses must be passed with a grade C or better. All UMA students are required to take at least one writing intensive course. Writing intensive courses are marked with a W. Additional courses may also meet this requirement. Check with your academic advisor. Classes marked * are also required in the Music Associate of science degree.

ADVISING NOTES:
PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS
  • A cumulative average of at least 2.5 is usually required for admission in the program.
  • A minimum grade of "C" is required in all dental hygiene courses.
GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS
 
  • A minimum of 120 credit hours (including credits transferred from an approved associate degree) and a grade point average of at least 2.5 are required for graduation.
  • Students should meet with their faculty advisor to verify readiness for graduation prior to submitting a graduation card.
