Online form for Library Card Request
UMA Library Cards may be requested in person or by filling out the online Library Request Form. Reminder: ITV and other distance education students should contact Off-Campus Library Services.
Your UMA Library Card will be available in one week, at which time the card will either be mailed to you or available for pick up at the Katz Library.

Circulation Policy
Library cards are available for faculty, staff, students and community members. You may obtain your card at the circulation desk or by using the online form. ITV and other distance education students should contact Off-Campus Library Services.
Lending Policy
Loan period - 4 weeks.
Renewal - 4 weeks, unless the book belongs to another library.
You may renew books over the phone by calling 621-3356 or 621-3349, or 1-877-UMA-1234.
Checkout limit - 20 books.
Fines and Overdue Notices
All UMA students are sent e-mail notification of overdue items and should make sure their UMA e-mail account is active. UMA faculty and staff, community patrons, and other students in the University of Maine System receive overdue notices by U.S. mail or e-mail, as appropriate.
Overdue charge - Overdue books will accumulate fines according to the circulation policy of that item’s home library.
UMA's fine is $0.50 per day.
Lost book charge -The cost is determined by the item’s home library, plus a $10.00 processing fee.
