Computer Information Systems

The Computer Information System minor is designed to allow students in other disciplines to earn a credential in the information technology area, which will enhance their marketability as technology skills are required in almost any career field.

The Minor in Computer Information Systems is an 18-credit hour concentration with four required courses:


  • CIS-101  Introduction to Computer Science
  • CIS-240  Introduction to Networking
  • CIS-131  Web Design and Development
  • CIS-330  Systems Analysis


and one programming elective and one upper-level technology elective, which allows the student to focus in a specific IT area.
