This course is designed to help students develop academic, communication, critical thinking and analysis skills; become acquainted with the University; and clarify personal values, goals and expectations. COL 214 Professionalism in the Workplace

This seminar course is designed to enable students to transition into professional roles. Students will learn how to present themselves positively and foster professional relationships. Emphasis will also be placed on understanding organizational structures and cultures, and on developing communication and interpersonal skills essential for succeeding in a professional environment. Prerequisite: Any COM course and social science core course; or permission of the instructor.
