Constitution Week Sept. 17th - 21st

This week we celebrate the signing of the U.S. Constitution in 1787. During the course of the week we will be holding discussions on the Bill of Rights, lunchtime talks about the Constitution, our TimesTalk discussion will focus on Constitutional issues in the news, and we'll even have a night just for kids.

  • Jim Davitt facilitates a discussion on what is the U.S. Constitution and why is it important?

Tuesday 9/18

  • 12:00 TimesTalk in Huskins Lounge, Bangor: The U.S. Constitution

Wednesday 9/19

  • UMA Dean of Enrollment Services, Jon Henry leads a lunchtime discussion on civic engagment and citizenship

Thursday 9/20

  • 12:00 TimesTalk in STC Lounge, Augusta: The U.S. Constitution

Friday 9/21

  • Kids' Night: 6:30 - 8:00 in Huskins Lounge: School House Rock videos, prizes, fun things to do!

Monday 9/17

  • The Constitution Movie" will play on a cycle all day in the STC Lounge.
Tuesday 9/18
  • Professor Jon Schlenker presented the "Declaration of Academic Interdependence".
Wednesday 9/19
  • Sarah Walton holds a forum on "Student Rights Under the First Amendment".

Thursday 9/20

  • Tom Tomberline holds a forum on "Search and Seizure"
  • Constitution Trivia from 9-3.
  • Kids Night From 5-7.
