University College Outreach Centers

Access to quality public higher education is the primary mission of the University College Outreach Centers. As part of the University of Maine System, the 11 centers allow people in communities state-wide to earn a university degree close to home and on schedules that fit into their family and work lives. Courses are taught by faculty onsite, online, or via interactive television (ITV) and videoconference. Students may earn an associate, bachelor or masters degree offered by one of Maine's public universities.

Center professionals and trained student advisors assist students with admission and financial aid, placement testing, course registration, book orders, computer conferencing, and more. The combination of convenient access to courses and personal support for students of all ages has helped the University College Centers to become important resources in their communities.

Centers are located in Bath, Calais, Dover-Foxcroft, Ellsworth, East Millinocket, Houlton, South Paris, Mexico, Saco, Sanford and Rockland. Visit www.learn.maine.edu for more information.
