EAP counseling services are provided for up to six sessions. If a referral for additional services or treatment is necessary, EAP counselors will help employees locate services that are convenient, appropriate and affordable. Counselors are licensed health care professionals including psychologists, clinical social workers, counselors and marriage and family therapists.
Consider calling the EAP when:
- You have a problem that you worry about all day long.
- You feel you need help coping with a situation, but you don’t know where to turn.
- You find your family life, friendships, health or work are affected.
- You keep thinking that a problem will go away, but it doesn’t.
- You need to talk with someone who can assist you.
EAP appointments can be made during or outside of work hours. Most supervisors provide release time for EAP appointments. For confidentiality purposes, you may treat your EAP appointment the same as a medical appointment.
