Types of Financial Aid
The goal of financial aid at UMA is to make college affordable for a broader spectrum of able students. Eligibility for many UMA financial aid programs is based on the calculation of a student's financial need as determined through the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). For more information on how financial need is calculated, click here to visit the Federal Student Aid web site.
Most financial aid awards at UMA are offered to help pay for education- related expenses which the student and/or family cannot afford.
UMA participates in Federal Title IV Financial Aid programs and State Financial Aid programs as well as providing University grants and scholarships.
