I welcome you to the University of Maine at Augusta, just as this wonderful community has recently welcomed me.

Having started here as President on March 3rd, I have much to learn about the university and the community that surrounds us. Still, it does not take long to recognize and appreciate that this is a special place that takes its mission seriously to meet the needs of our students and the entire central Maine region. I pledge to you my wholehearted dedication to do everything I can to advance and support this compelling mission.

I am honored and so very excited about becoming part of such an impressive team of UMA faculty, staff, students, alumni, and community supporters. Building on the excellent foundation that so many have created, there is every reason to believe that for UMA, the best is yet to come.
