Project Maine France

Looking to explore study abroad options? Read about Project Maine France, which allows students in the UMaine System to study in a French university. Once a student has applied and is accepted for study in France, the student pays full-time tuition and mandatory fees to his/her home institution before s/he departs. Students who study in France take courses in French language and culture as well as courses in their major field (based on their ability to take courses with regular French students with some linguistic support) and other fields of interest.

Teaching Assistant Program

Are you looking to teach English abroad? Are you done with your studies and want to experience the world? The Teaching Assistant program in France offers you the opportunity to work in France for 7 to 9 months, teaching English to French students of all ages. Each year, nearly 1,500 American citizens and permanent residents teach in public schools across all regions of metropolitan France and in the overseas departments of French Guiana, Guadeloupe, Martinique and Reunion.
