
Information and Library Sciences
UMA's Bachelor of Science in Information and Library Sciences and Associate of Science can prepare you for important positions supporting the work of library and information services professionals.
Beyond essential liberal arts requirements, you explore computer information systems, public service programming, reference and database searching, library technical processes, information technology and media, collection development, and information careers. All library courses are offered asynchronously and nonlibrary courses are delivered at local colleges or via interactive television.
As a program graduate, you will be poised for success as a library or information assistant, or for advancement within the field of information technology. Related opportunities abound – in business, public service, education, and communications.
