The Interlibrary Loan Department provides access to materials held by other libraries.
Patrons with valid IDs can use the requestor function in URSUS to borrow from other libraries in Maine.
Policy
Current students, faculty, and staff of The University of Maine at Augusta may use interlibrary loan services. Distance education students should contact Off-Campus Library Services.
For community borrowers, interlibrary loan service is limited to in-state borrowing.
We are unable to fulfill requests for: reference books, bulky or fragile items; rare or valuable materials; textbooks; dissertations; and entire issues of journals.
Procedure
Please fill out the above request forms accurately and completely.
Patrons are notified by e-mail or phone when materials are ready for pick-up. Items will be held for a period of two weeks.
Loan Periods
Loan periods for books are set by the lending libraries and may vary. Most libraries loan books for one month, and offer an option for renewal. Renewal requests must be placed before an item becomes overdue.
Do not remove the interlibrary loan label.
Charges will apply for unreturned items.
