Campbell also taught at Pratt Institute in NYC for 10 years prior to relocating to Maine.

Hicks, a professor of art at the University of Maine where she teaches art education theory and practice, and graduate research methods for MFA students, also serves as curator for the Lord Hall Gallery on the University of Maine campus and is coordinator for the Maine Curators' Group.

The Danforth Gallery is located in Jewett Hall on the University of Maine at Augusta campus. Gallery hours are Monday through Wednesday, 9:00am–5:00pm, Thursdays 9:00-7:00pm and Fridays 9:00am-1:00pm.
