A Message from President Randall

I am delighted to announce that we have received continuing accreditation from the New England Association of Schools & Colleges and our next comprehensive evaluation is scheduled for spring 2015. Congratulations are in order for the Steering Committee and to the eleven standards committees that prepared the thorough self study.

The Commission's words include:

"We commend the University for successfully coming through a challenging time ..."

"The institution's revised mission as a baccalaureate institution serving central Maine is widely understood and supported..."

"The institution has long been a leader in distance learning in Maine helping to promote access to higher education..."

"We take favorable note of the University's very competent and dedicated
faculty, a great source of strength for the institution."

The fact that our University family was deeply involved in the process is apparent in their
review and we have cause for celebration.

Dick
Richard J. Randall
President
