The University of Maine Augusta and the Holocaust and Human Rights Center of Maine will host a panel discussion on the hunger crisis in Maine on Wednesday, March 13th at noon at the Klahr Center on the campus of UMA.With many Maine families hard hit by the current recession, and with a new report from the US Department of Agriculture estimating that over 200,000 Maine people are now “food insecure,” the discussion is urgent.
Refreshments from local Winthrop farm, Wholesome Homestead, and desserts from UMA Food Services Provider, Aramark, will be provided.
