Patricia Carol "Patti" Bourgoin

Named to the Maine BPW Hall of Fame March 21, 2009

- President of the Augusta Area BPW Club, 1984-1986
- President of the Maine Federation (BPW/Maine), 1989-1990, at 31, the youngest State President in the country.
- Conceived of and helped establish the Maine Women’s Hall of Fame, which held its first induction ceremony in March 1990.
- BPW/Maine Member of the Year, 1990.
- Established the Patti Bourgoin Membership Award, which is presented annually at the BPW/Maine State Convention.
- President of the BPW/Maine Futurama Foundation, 1990-1991.
- Owned her own business, Word Processing Consulting & Services.
- Founded Maine Citizens Against Sexual Abuse.
- Served as Chair of the Maine Commission for Women.
- First woman President of the Gardiner Rotary Club
- First recipient of the Kennebec Valley Chamber of Commerce Athena Award.
- Mayor of Gardiner 1991-1993, the only woman ever to hold that office.
- Active member of the Augusta Area Rape Crisis Center, Gardiner Planning Board, Kennebec Valley Chamber of Commerce, and Women’s Business Development Corporation; served on the Board of the Family Violence Project; provided respite care for foster children; and worked as an LCSW for the Maine Department of Health & Human Services.
