University of Maine at Augusta (UMA) will hold a Project>Login reception on Wednesday, March 13th from 4:00pm – 5:30pm in room 138 of the Randall Student Center.

The reception is part of a state-wide series of relationship-building events which aim to connect companies across the state that are offering paid internships to University of Maine System students majoring in computer related fields.

Students who are enrolled in, or are interested in the UMA Computer Information System Program are invited to attend the reception. Businesses such as Capitol Computers (an Augusta-based business), Cianbro, Dead River, Eastern Maine Health Systems, Molina, State of Maine, Tyler Technologies, Unum and WEX are expected be in attendance.

Project>Login is an initiative led by Educate Maine and the University of Maine System, which hopes to double the number of computer science and information technology graduates from the University of Maine System over the next four years. The initiative was launched to address a gap in the number of computer science and IT professionals Maine companies need to hire in current and future positions.
