Rick Paré earned his BA in Psychology from Keene State College in New Hampshire and his MA in Counseling Psychology from Murray State University in Kentucky. He is presently an Associate Professor of Psychology on the Bangor campus. He was Coordinator of the Gateway Program on the Orono campus for five years and Coordinator of the Social Science division on the Bangor Campus for five years. He decided to return to teaching and leave the administration to others. He has had papers accepted for presentation at International, National, State, and Regional levels in the field of Psychology and Computers. He developed the only Psychology Lab on the Bangor campus that used live animals and computer simulations. Associate Professor Paré and a past President of UMA, George Conik, brought the technology of ITV to the campus. Each of his classes usually enrolls between 50 to 75 students.
