- Library computers are for academic research related to our mission http://www.uma.edu/librariesmissionstatement.html and other educational purposes. Use of computers for illegal activities is prohibited.
- The library reserves the right to restrict access to its computers.
- Please keep food and drink away from the computers. Drinks must be in covered containers.
- Please respect the equipment and other people.
- Please take cell phone conversations into the lobby or outside.
- All printing goes to the printer on the long table in the Reading Room. Please be patient as other print jobs may be ahead of yours. Payment (4 cents/page for black-and-white) is deducted from money on your student ID card. Please ask for help if you have never added money to your card before. Color printing (10 cents per page) is available in the computer lab (weekdays: Eastport Hall; weeknights and weekends: on this floor, down the hall).
- Computers are for student and faculty use and require an ID and password to log in. Please do not log in others using your ID and password. Remember to log out before leaving.
- Do not save important documents on these computers, as those documents will disappear when the computer is shut down or logged off. Instead, safely save on removable media (CD or USB memory stick) or in the “X Drive” (Student folder). The “X Drive” is cleared at the end of each semester.
