UMA Receives More Recognition for Support of Veterans: Makes Military Times Best for Vets List.

BFV-Colleges-2013-logoUMA was notified on November 16th that it made the Military Times list of 2013 Best for Vets Colleges.

UMA was ranked twelfth in the nation by Military Times in the Career and Technical Colleges category. Sixty such colleges were ranked in this category out of 140 schools applying.

To be considered as a Best for Vets College, schools needed to complete a 150 question survey. Information on the rankings and methodology can be found here »

Published by Gannett Government Media, the Military Times newsweeklies are relied upon by service members and their families as trusted, independent sources for news and information on the most important issues affecting their careers and personal lives. Gannet Government Media is a subsidiary of Gannett Co., Inc., the largest newspaper publisher in the United States.

UMA’s has been recognized several times in the past few years for its support of veterans and current service members. For the past three years GI Jobs Magazine has selected UMA as a Military Friendly School. UMA was also just one of 20 schools nationwide to be awarded a 2009 grant by the American Council of Education and the Wal-Mart Foundation for its works with veterans and service members.
