The Theme: Smart Study

Snap a photo of yourself or of your surroundings while you are studying in an interesting or exotic place this summer.

Jeremy Brown - First Place

Jeremy is a UMA Social Science Major with a Minor in Secondary Education.  His colorful "statistics summer" photo with his stats book and calculator on the beach was chosen as the first place winner because it truly spoke to the contest theme.

Erik Peterson - Second Place

Erik is working on his BS in Computer Information Systems.  He took this photograph of UMA music student, Rebecca Singer reading on the rail trail in Augusta, ME.  It was chosen as the second place winner because of its resemblance to the UMA Logo, with the paths to the future within it.

Kelsey Rosebeary - Third Place

Although Kelsey is a student at University of Maine at Orono, she will be taking a PSY 400 class at UMA this coming fall.  She will graduate in 2015 as a Nursing Major, French Minor and Military Science Minor.  As part of her Army ROTC, Kelsey went to Senegal (West Africa) on a mission to teach English to members of the Senegalese military this summer.

"Where has your UMA water bottle taken you?  Mine took me to the top of Bigelow Mountain overlooking Carrabassett Valley and Sugarloaf." --Alison Lincoln-Rich

Tessa Artica-Marina Robinson - Honorable Mention

A UMA Liberal Studies Major with a Photography Minor, Tessa submitted this picture of a moose on the Readfield end of Marannacook Lake.
