UMA 2011 - 2016 Strategic Plan

Dear UMA Community,

In the fall of 2009, the announcement was made that strategic planning for the University of Maine at Augusta would begin with a Scenario to Strategy (S28) visioning process requiring university-Wide engagement. The SZS process included more than l00 faculty and staff segregated into four separate quadrants that would ultimately present their perspectives for the future of UMA.

In spring of 2010, the quadrants made their presentations and the UMA community voted on the favored scenario. Work continued through the summer and fall by faculty and staff to develop subsequent recommendations and draft the UIVIA Strategic Plan. The draft plan was then circulated for extensive review and feedback.

In March 2011, the Board of Trustees approved the University of Maine at Augusta's Strategic Plan for 2011-2016.  Now I present this Strategic Plan to you with my strong support and the support of the entire UMA community.
