1.2.3 Diversity will be fully integrated into the general education curriculum by fall 2011 and its effectiveness assessed annually thereafter.
Diversity is currently a requirement for "all core and general education classes." The Core – Gen Ed Committee will have developed student learning outcomes by the spring of '07 for diversity. Following approval of these outcomes by the Faculty Senate in the spring of '07, the committee will discuss how these outcomes will be achieved with program coordinators and develop program-specific plans for achieving these outcomes. This process will be completed by the fall of '11, with a periodic re-examination of diversity outcomes by the Core – Gen Ed Committee thereafter.
The benchmarks for this objective will be the approval of diversity outcomes by Faculty Senate and development of program specific diversity outcome plans.
