Objective 1.3.5 Strategies and Benchmarks
1.3.5 The University will review its policies and practices regarding such issues as faculty teaching loads, advising responsibilities and committee assignments.
This objective is closely tied to the review to be undertaken in FY '08 by the Academic Policy Committee and Provost's Staff of all existing academic policies and procedures. As footnoted in the strategy for 1.3.4 and in keeping with the Plan's Objective 2.3.2, a Faculty Concerns Committee will be formed either by the Senate or the Provost by the start of FY '09 to address through FY '11 revisions, deletions, and additions to policies and procedures related to faculty beyond the purview of the Academic Policy Committee or other standing committee or the collective bargaining agreement.
