Objective 3.3.2 Strategies and Benchmarks
3.3.2 Guided by assessment results and with special attention to the needs of first-year and incoming transfer students, department managers will develop, refine, and/or increase student participation in fundamental support programs, e.g. New Student Orientation.
Strategies to achieve this objective include:
- Based on feedback from: the spring '07 NSSE survey; an anticipated new student survey to commence in fall '08; the outreach activities scheduled for implementation during FY '07-'09 by the new College Success Grant Program Coordinator; and Student Development Department assessment plans, department managers will implement program modifications and/or propose the addition or elimination of new student programs and/or activities. While simple changes will be made at the earliest opportunity, significant changes will be addressed through the annual reporting and Divisional planning process.
