Objective 4.1.3 Strategies and Benchmarks
4.1.3 The University will strengthen student recruitment networks with community colleges, adult education programs and transition agencies and work with area human resource managers to develop for-credit opportunities.
This process has begun and needs to continue. The Director of Admissions & Advising will continue to serve on the College Transition Advisory Committee (Adult Education). Beginning in September 2008, UMA will expand AdvantageU benefits (including a streamlined transfer process and early advising) to students in at least two additional programs at KVCC. Starting in September 2009, UMA will extend AdvantageU benefits to additional programs at CMCC and EMCC.
Beginning in September 2007, UMA will identify and work with Maine LiLA (Lifelong Learning Accounts) Employers to offer on-site information sessions and advising for interested employees.
