Objective 7.2.3 Strategies and Benchmarks

7.2.3 The Technology Advisory Planning Committee will provide guidance for all new technology initiatives and installations.

Beginning in FY '10 and based upon the FY '10 – '14 Master Technology Plan the Technology Advisory Planning Committee, following appropriate consultations and collaborations, will provide guidance and support to all impacted parties of new technology initiatives and installations.

The Technology Advisory Planning Committee consists of two faculty from each college, and staff members from various offices. Planning for new initiatives and installations is done in consultation with the IT staff, committee members, other faculty/staff, as well as UMS ITS and other campus IT Directors and IT staff. All technology purchases must follow the guidelines as outlined in the Technology Purchasing Policy (http://www.uma.edu/techpurchasepolicy.html).
