Rebecca M. Wyke, Ed.D.

Dr. Rebecca Wyke is the President of the University of Maine at Augusta (UMA). She has served in this role since 2017. UMA has a statewide mission serving place-committed learners through on-site and distance education, with campuses in Augusta and Bangor, 8 Centers from Saco to Houlton, and 32 course receive sites across Maine.

Wyke joined the University of Maine System in 2008 as the Vice Chancellor for Finance and Administration. Wyke also serves as adjunct faculty for the Public Administration Program at UMA and has taught for the Muskie School of Public Service at the University of Southern Maine.

Prior to joining the University System, Wyke served for five years in Governor Baldacci’s Cabinet as the Commissioner of the Department of Administrative and Financial Services. Wyke also served in the administration of three Maine Secretaries of State, serving as the Chief Deputy Secretary of State for eight years.

Wyke is a member of the Dead River Company Board of Directors and serves on the Finance & Acquisitions and Risk Management Committees. Wyke is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Kennebec Valley Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Augusta Board of Trade.

Wyke received her Doctor of Education degree from the University of Pennsylvania. She also holds a Master of Public Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Maine.
