Jennifer Lakey

Dr. Lakey has been a part of the UMA faculty since 2018. She has over 20 years of experience as a nurse and has worked in various roles throughout her career, including in the emergency department and as a school nurse. Dr. Lakey earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Messiah College in 2000, a Master of Science in Nursing from Husson University in 2014, and a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Liberty University in 2022. Dr. Lakey’s doctoral work focused on mindfulness and nurse burnout, highlighting her commitment to improving the well-being of nurses. She is excited to educate and prepare the next generation of nurses to be competent, compassionate, and caring members of the profession.
