Laurie has worked in UMA’s Advising department since 2005. She earned her BA in English from Colby-Sawyer College, and holds a Master’s degree in Higher Education from the University of Maine, specializing in student development. Laurie believes that every student deserves to have a point of contact to help them navigate through their educational journey. She believes that meaningful engagement inside and outside of the classroom can help students enrich their college experience and reach their educational goals. She is also very passionate about athletics, particularly basketball (“Go Moose!”).

Laurie is happy to work with students at any point in their academic journey, whether a newly admitted student with no higher educational background, or a senior ready to graduate looking to explore their next educational opportunity. Please feel free to reach out to Laurie any time you have any questions.
