UMA works with educational and career organizations to make sure you have access to the resources you need.

Not only do we want to offer students the services they deserve, we strive to make the most efficient use of Maine’s educational resources. That’s why we work with Maine Adult Education, Maine Department of Labor, Maine Community College System, New Ventures Maine, and many others to leverage educational services in our communities and state-wide.

The UMA Saco Center is fortunate to work closely with many community partners. Our partners enrich our community, Center and student experiences.

Our Partners

  • New Ventures Maine
New Ventures Maine helps individuals recognize strengths, overcome barriers, find resources, develop a plan, take action towards their goals: start a business, find a career, return to school, build assets, be active in the community.
  • Maine Educational Opportunity Center (MEOC)
MEOC is a federal education initiative established to promote access to post-secondary education for traditionally under-represented adult populations within the State of Maine. MEOC is committed to assist any adult wishing to re-enter a formal education setting. Funded to serve traditionally under-represented adults, the majority of MEOC participants are of the first generation in their families to go to college.
  • York County Senior College
The Senior College exists not only to provide seniors of the county stimulating educational opportunity but also the chance to interact with their peers, in and out of the classroom.
