FRE/HUM 285: Quebec travel course: Exploring the Culture, Cuisine, and Language of Quebec

Come learn about the language, culture, history, and cuisine of Quebec in this hands on, experiential course! The course will run in Summer Session I and we will travel for 6 nights to Quebec (May 24-30th). You do not need any experience with the course subject matter or the language to take this course.

Note: you will need a passport or passport card to participate in this course and should start that process right away.

Planned activities include: touring Vieux Quebec/Old Quebec, taking a cooking class on Quebec cuisine, a tour of the Island of Orleans, an Inuit Night Walk with one of Canada’s First Nations, and a visit to Montmorency Falls.

The course fee is $1,100. This covers transportation from Augusta, 2 meals a day, all excursions and a shared dorm room with another student and a hallway shower. The nonrefundable deposit is $315.

Sign ups are now open to all, even if you are not a matriculated student at UMA.
