We are excited to announce the formation of a new interest group on Academic Integrity convened by our library, and we invite you to join us!
We aim to create a vibrant discussion platform for faculty, students, and staff to collaboratively address academic integrity at UMA. Our discussions will range from examining our existing academic integrity policy and understanding the impact of emerging technologies like artificial intelligence to creating a culture that dissuades academic dishonesty.
Per the Academic Integrity Policy, our UMA community may adopt procedures for carrying out the provisions of the Policy. With our community in mind, we encourage members to share insights, propose solutions, and actively engage in shaping the academic integrity landscape at UMA. Our initial discussions will also guide the development of future events, workshops, and activities designed to enhance our understanding and practice of academic integrity.
Our inaugural meeting will be in mid-September. If you’re interested in being part of this initiative, please email Cynthia Young, Director of Library Services, at cynthia.c.young@maine.edu by Friday, September 1st.
