The “Concerts at Jewett” Series sponsored by University of Maine at Augusta College of Arts and Sciences and UMA Senior College will present “An Afternoon with Paul Sullivan” on Sunday, November 19, 2017, 2 PM at Jewett Hall Auditorium. (Snow date: December 3rd)
Grammy Award winner Paul Sullivan has enjoyed a richly varied and distinguished career as a composer and a pianist. He has played concert tours throughout the world, with major orchestras and in hit musicals and been featured in many of New York’s most prestigious jazz clubs. He has composed scores for films, theaters and dance companies. Paul has taught music at Yale as well as at the Brooklin, Maine elementary school. Many of his 20 CDs have won prizes. His work on the Paul Winter Consort CD, “Silver Solstice,” won him a Grammy Award. Paul is a proud resident of Maine and his CD “Sketches of Maine” features his performance of compositions inspired by his love of the state. The audience will leave this concert with smiling faces.
