The HHRC is delighted to be joining the University of Maine at Augusta and the Penobscot River Education Partnership in a ten-part professional development series beginning October 26th. PREP is an action-centered collaborative focused on enhancing the learning of PK-12 students by continually improving teaching and students’ educational experience. The various PK-12 and higher education partners work jointly to prepare and contribute significantly to the professional development of teachers with a mission to improve learning for all.
The HHRC will present our program focused on Understanding and Confronting Bias on the first and final sessions of the series. We look forward to participating in this in-depth exploration of how to teach about and incorporate anti-bias concepts and practices designed to build more inclusive school communities.
