Please join us and provide feedback on a possible restructuring of the Student Government at UMA.
UMA SGA has a unique structure (with Student Associations at the Centers, Student Government Associations at the campuses, and representatives from each of these entities serving on the General Assembly). Because of their commitment to serving all UMA students to the best of their ability, the General Assembly has charged the Parliamentary Committee with assessing this structure and exploring what a possible restructure would look like. The Parliamentary Committee encourages all UMA students to attend their meetings and/or provide ideas, suggestions and feedback.
The Parliamentary Committee is a standing committee of the General Assembly (GA) and is responsible for writing policies and procedures, reviewing and proposing amendments to constitutions and bylaws; and developing the verbiage and timelines for student initiatives and referendums.
Meetings of this committee have been scheduled for the Fall semester at 11:30 via Zoom on the following dates:
- October 12th & 26th
- November 9th & 30th
