To commemorate and support Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the faculty and students at the University of Maine at Augusta Dental Hygiene program wore pink scrubs on October 19, 2017. This is the second year that those in the pre-clinical and clinical programs have worn pink to raise awareness about the importance of early detection and mammograms.

The Dental Hygiene program is located on the UMA Bangor campus and offers the only accredited dental hygiene program at a public institution in Maine where students can earn a three-year Associates degree in Science in Dental Hygiene or complete one additional year to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene. Learn more about the UMA Dental Hygiene program.
