Dear Students,
Although we have not received any new information from the Department of Education regarding the processing of 2024-2025 FAFSAs, we wanted to provide some important financial aid reminders:
UMA 2024-2025 FAFSA priority deadline was March 1, 2024, however in light of the current delay we will move this date to May 1st 2024. To be considered for the maximum amount of financial aid possible, please complete and submit your FAFSA at studentaid.gov by this date.
The Department of Education expects to start sending 2024-2025 FAFSA information to us the first part of March. Once that information is received, we expect to begin sending official financial aid offers in early April.
We understand that the information on the financial aid offer may cause questions. Once you have received your official financial aid offer letter, we encourage you to contact our office to discuss your special circumstances.
We will continue to update you on processing timelines and changes as they become available. We also encourage you to monitor our website at uma.edu/financial for information or changes related to the FAFSA.
