Patriots’ Day will be celebrated this year on Monday, April 15, 2024.
Since classes are in session on this day, it is advisable to reduce work forces to the extent that as many employees as possible receive the day off, but that sufficient coverage is maintained for all departments and offices that provide direct support and services to students.
All regular hourly employees who are required to work must be paid holiday pay for regularly scheduled hours at straight time; plus straight time for all hours worked or compensatory time off in accordance with appropriate policies and contractual agreements.
Hourly employees who are required to work and choose to be paid for working on the holiday should enter HOL for their normally scheduled hours and HOLW for the number of hours actually worked. Hourly employees who choose compensatory time for working on the holiday should enter HOL for their normally scheduled hours and comp time saved (CMCSV, CMPSV, CMNSV, or CMMSV) for the number of hours actually worked.
Any salaried employees who will be required to work should be offered an alternate day off during the same week so as not to deprive them of their holiday benefit.
