The UMA Saco Center Student Association took part in the annual Festival of Lights Parade in Saco on December 7. Their float was decorated in blue and white lights and was accompanied by Augustus the Moose – the official mascot of UMA. Over 1000 UMA ice scrapers were distributed to parade viewers. This annual parade, which takes place on Main Street, draws thousands of spectators every year.
