Four Daughters Film Screening – Watch Now Online then Join the Panel Discussion on March 27th

Join UMA Libraries and Women Invigorating Curriculum & Cultivating Diversity (WICCD) for a screening of the Academy Award nominated documentary Four Daughters.

Currently nominated for an Academy Award for Best Documentary, this “…riveting exploration of rebellion, memory, and sisterhood reconstructs the story of Olfa Hamrouni and her four daughters, unpacking a complex family history through intimate interviews and performance to examine how the Tunisian woman’s two eldest were radicalized by Islamic extremists…”

The movie is available for viewing on your own anytime between now and March 27th. On the 27th at Noon, we will host a panel discussion with Majid Binghalib, part-time faculty of History and Interdisciplinary Studies, Rebecca White, Assistant Professor of History and WICCD Co-Chair, and Michelle Lisi, VAWLT Coordinator and part-time Writing Faculty and WICCD Co-Chair.

This film screening and panel discussion event is for UMA students, faculty, and staff only (not open to the general public). For more information, contact Cory Budden, Instruction & Outreach Librarian, cory.budden@maine.edu.
