Bio

Cindy has been a practicing forensic scientist for 30 years. She has been a latent print analyst at the Maine State Police Crime Laboratory for the last 24 years. In addition to teaching forensic science at UMA, she teaches at the Maine Criminal Justice Academy and has lectured throughout the US and in Canada.

 

Education

BS in Chemistry, John Carroll University.
MS in Forensic Science, University of Illinois @ Chicago.

Current Courses

Cindy has taught JUS-160 Introduction to Forensic Science at UMA for 15 years. Her class focuses on the many forensic specialties found inside today’s crime laboratories as well as those less widely known that exist outside of the traditional crime laboratory setting. The course is appropriate for anyone interested in how scientific and technical knowledge, skill, and abilities can be used to help the criminal justice system.
