Bio

Not long ago I was a single parent, working part-time as a personal care attendant. I came to the UMA Bangor Campus and signed up as a part-time student, and now I am proud to say that I’m a UMA Alumna holding an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice and a Bachelor’s in Administration of Justice. I earned Student of the Year for both degrees and also participated in the UMA Honors Program.

I wanted to continue my education within the field and found Boston University had an excellent online program for a Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice. I graduated in 2018 with a sub-concentration and certificate in Cybercrime Investigation and Cybersecurity. I am also a member of the National Criminal Justice Honor Society, Alpha Phi Sigma, Nu Mu Chapter at BU, as well as a member of the Center for Cybercrime Investigation and Cybersecurity (CIC) of Boston that facilitates cybercrime prevention strategies and practices worldwide. I enjoy attending the annual meeting of the American Society of Criminology.
