Bio

Haley has been a nurse since 2001 when she graduated from White Mountain Community College in Berlin New Hampshire. Her primary areas of nursing specialty have been Mental Health/Psychiatric inpatient and emergency crisis, ICU, Cardiac ICU and the Emergency Department.

Haley has her National Registry Paramedic Certification and continues to work for her local hometown rescue service. She has worked in several critical access hospitals and a tertiary trauma center.

Haley has pursued higher education through Saint Joseph’s College of Maine in Windham, earning a BSN and MSN in nursing education. She has held positions as a system wide educator for a hospital organization and as an Emergency Department Educator. Haley has taught nursing, primarily simulation and mental health in an associate’s degree program before transitioning to the University of Maine Augusta as a Lecturer in Nursing.

Recently Haley has completed a post-Master’s certificate in Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from the University of Maine Fort Kent and is currently enrolled in a Doctor of Nursing Practice.

For the University of Maine Augusta Haley teaches: Holistic Mental Health and Wellness, Healthcare Policy, Pediatrics, plus Adult 1&2 lab, Health Assessment Lab, Mental Health and Pediatric Simulation & Lab.
