| Bio | Kristin Rieff is a part time faculty member of the University of Maine, Augusta, teaching a range of courses from Composition, Literature, and Professional Writing to Introduction to Women’s Studies and Hip Hop: Art, Culture, and Politics. As an instructor with almost 20 years experience with both the Maine Community College and UMaine campuses, her classes emphasize critical thought and analysis and aim to provide students opportunities to develop and fine tune their individual writing processes and styles. She has also taught courses in Creative Writing and Poetry, and has served as an ELL instructor for both Merrymeeting Adult Education and Portland Adult Education. In addition to her studies in Creative Writing, she has worked in managerial roles in local non-profit agencies serving the community. Her writing has been featured in the Portland Phoenix and MaineBiz. |
