Bio

Martha Vrana-Bossart has been a nurse since 1978, with a wide range of practical-clinical experience, including the acute medical-surgical, OB Maternal-Newborn, Perioperative-OR, PACU, ACU; managerial and supervisory. Ms. Vrana-Bossart has taught for over 6 years at the Associate level of nursing, in the hybrid, traditional and online environment as well as 2.5 years at the Baccalaureate level of nursing, primarily in the online environment.

Ms. Vrana-Bossart has a passion for cementing foundational framework for entry-level students and the application of theory into practice using a concept based approach to didactic, lab skill, SIMulation application, and clinical experience. Additionally, the complex and necessary use of data and informatics in nursing practice is of particular interest for Ms. Vrana- Bossart and teaches the critical connection between data and quality outcomes for nursing.

Ms. Vrana-Bossart utilizes mindfulness in all she does and practices a holistic approach in her personal life including yoga practice, voice practice-singing in choral groups; and agility training with her dog, Jasmine.
