Melissa Bennett

Melissa has been working in public libraries since 2009.  She’s served as the Youth Services Coordinator at the Western Carteret Public Library (Cape Carteret, NC), the Young Adult / Assistant Children’s Librarian at the Turner Free Library (Randolph, MA), the Teen Services Librarian at the Mansfield Public Library (Mansfield, MA), and now works as the Member Services Librarian for SAILS Library Network, serving Southeastern Massachusetts.  Her background is in teaching, collections, marketing, and services to youth of all ages.  

In addition to an MLIS in Library Science (Syracuse University, 2019), Melissa also has a MFA in Film Production (Boston University, 2017) and served in the TV/Film Department at Boston University’s College of Communication from 2018-2025.

When not working or teaching, Melissa enjoys mixed media crafting, photography, and adventuring.
